£18.5m Liverpool student accommodation building near completion
300 en suite apartments are near completion on Vauxhall Road in Liverpool, the development has been named Glassworks.
The £18.5m project was run by property developer Crosslane Student Developments in partnership with construction and development specialist Pochin’s.
The new accommodation will be managed by Prime Student Living to offer living facilities a short walk from both University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University.
Crosslane appointed North West property company, Pochin’s last May for the construction of the accommodation.
Crosslane Student Developments’ director Andy Whatson said: “Liverpool’s student population has swelled in recent years, and we’re thrilled to be able to establish a presence in this fantastic city.
“The demand for high quality student accommodation continues to grow and we envisage that Glassworks will be at the forefront of that market.
“We have developed a significant addition to Liverpool’s student community, and I’d like to thank Pochin’s for their integral support in delivering our vision for this project.”
Managing director of Pochin’s Construction, Jonathan Pochin, said: “Pochin’s has a long and successful history in Liverpool and we’re excited to be taking on further work in this vibrant city as we continue to deliver high quality projects across the region.
“We’re also delighted to be able to further our growing relationship with Crosslane, who have very kindly offered to support our chosen charity, the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.”
