70 jobs to be created in East Lancashire by bed manufacturer group

Bed manufacturing group Sweet Dreams has paid £1m for Scholefield Mill to locate their latest brand, Comfort Zone Sofas in the Nelson area.

The move will see at least 70 jobs created this year.

Sweet Dreams managing director Riaz Ahmed said to the Lancashire Telegraph: “We are delighted to have made this purchase.

“The recent £3m investment in new buildings at our current Primrose Mill premises has proved to us how important it is to have appropriate space to allow our business operations to develop and expand.

“When we saw this opportunity, we were quick to appreciate how significant it could be as we take our plans for our sister company, Comfort Zone Sofas, forwards.”

The move will help both with the development of Comfort Zone Sofas but also provide greater capacity for Sweet Dreams with the 70 new jobs working across the two sites.
