Hull construction firm Hobson & Porter’s orders totalled £18m in May

In the month of May, Hull construction firm Hobson & Porter were able to secure more than £18m worth of work.

Last month, the firm won works totaling £18.2m, including further works at JZ Flowers in Newport as well as new projects at Lower Lindsey Care Home in Cleethorpes and St Giles C of E School in Wakefield.

The success of May follows Hobson & Porter, which has headquarters in Malmo Road, north Hull, expanding into Lincolnshire in order to grow its presence across the Humber region and Yorkshire as a whole.

Furthermore, after reporting record turnover of £45m for 2014, up from £30m the previous year, Hobson & Porters’ significant growth is likely to continue.

Graham Beal, managing director at Hobson & Porter, said: “We are delighted to have secured these new works, some of which have been obtained through existing relationships and positive results and others through competitive tender processes.

“May has been an incredible month for Hobson & Porter and our positive start to the year has been a culmination of strategic investment and continuing strong relationships with existing clients.”
