New fleet of vehicles for furniture retailer
One of the Midlands best loved independent retailers has taken delivery of a new fleet of vehicles.
Lee Longlands, which has stores in Birmingham, Cheltenham, Leamington Spa, Abingdon and Derby, has purchased a new fleet of Mercedes Atego 7.5t delivery trucks in Partnership with Midlands Truck & Van Ltd and InnoVent Leasing Ltd.
The news is a sign of the company’s ongoing commitment to invest heavily in its infrastructure to help achieve its forward strategic goals. Lee Longlands has already seen 10% year on year growth since its restructure four years ago and reported a 31% increase in operating profit in 2014.
Darren Campo, Financial Director for Lee Longlands, said: “We are delighted to have sourced a fleet of Mercedes trucks, which is aligned to the same premium qualities that the Lee Longlands brand offers its customers.
He continued: “It was extremely important for us to find the right finance solution and InnoVent Leasing gave us the advice and flexibility to ensure we chose an optimum solution for our business.
“We see this investment as a key part of our current business model and corporate infrastructure, which gives us a platform to build on the recent growth and maximise future opportunities.”
Adrian Saint, Chief Operating Officer of InnoVent Leasing commented “We were delighted to provide an innovative and flexible fleet funding solution, whilst working alongside such prestigious brands as Lee Longlands and Mercedes.”
Lee Longlands continues to offer the latest in contemporary furnishings, from sofas and dining furniture to carpets, beds, and accessories for the home.
