Athena Law Launches Employment Law Service
Athena Law has introduced a new department to provide employment law advice and support to businesses and business owners across the region.
The employment law service is made possible with the appointment of consultant Karen Fletcher to the Athena Law team.
Karen is a highly experienced employment lawyer recommended by Legal 500 and Chambers and deals with a range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Her specialisms include corporate transactions and TUPE, settlement agreements, discrimination, disciplinary and grievance issues, employee rights, redundancy, restructuring and all types of tribunal litigation. Karen also runs issue-driven workshops for HR professionals and has written a number of published articles on employment law matters.
As a consultant lawyer, Karen will also continue to provide advice to clients at Analysis Legal LLP.
Commenting on her recent appointment Karen said: “While improving, the economic climate remains precarious. It is vital, therefore, that businesses receive the highest quality legal advice to ensure they flourish during this challenging time. The jargon-free attitude and 100% client focus really attracted me to the Athena Law team and I’m delighted to be able to introduce a new arm of commercially focused employment law services to the firm’s corporate clients.”
Paul Willan, founding partner at Athena Law, added: “At Athena we’re committed to meeting the full range of our clients’ business legal needs. As well as providing high-quality corporate, commercial litigation and commercial property advice, Karen’s appointment now allows us to advise clients on all aspects of employment law. This will help us to ensure a holistic and seamless service that helps our clients to achieve their particular aims – quickly and cost-effectively. I’m delighted to welcome Karen on board, and I’m sure she’s going to become an invaluable member of the Athena Law team”.
As well as providing corporate, commercial litigation, commercial property, and employment law advice, Athena Law also has a range of integrated relationships with specialists in taxation, intellectual property, and finance.
