Leeds United 2015/16 season tickets beating last year’s sales
Despite yet another tumultuous campaign, Leeds United fans are already preparing for next season’s kick off by purchasing the recently launched season tickets.
In fact, the Championship club just revealed that the sales figures for the 2015/16 season tickets are already higher than they were at this point last year.
Leeds’ season tickets first went on sale on April 11th, starting from £440 for adults and £69 for Under-11s, renewals also started at £398 for adults.
This success may be down to the club’s unique campaign when launching the season tickets, which focused on the strapline “Real history. Real future. Real choice.”
Furthermore, the Space People, a Leeds-based multi-channel branding agency, were responsible for creating the fan favourite, powerful visual which has been developed from an iconic 1970s image.
The photograph features legendary players from every era in Leeds United’s storied history, including the present day. Every player on the image made their first team debuts as teenagers for the club.
These strong sale results comes just after Leeds’ owner Massimo Cellino claimed the club’s finances are back on track and almost breaking even.
Cellino said: “When I first came in, I had to pay £5m just to keep the club going. By the end of last season, we had lost £22m. Now the forecast is that we are close to break even.
Could the 2015/16 season finally be what Leeds United fans have long desired for?
