Manchester JW Lees reports £64m turnover

Brewer, JW Lees has reported a record turnover of £64m for the financial year ending 31 March 2015.

Turnover for the previous year was £62.8m.

Over the next five years, JW Lees is committed to driving total volume sales of £100m and continuing its profitable balance within the business of Managed Houses, Tenancies and Free Trade.

JW Lees was founded in 1828 and is based in Middleton, north Manchester, where it brews seven real ales as well as one lager, three smooth beers and seven limited edition seasonal cask ales, which include the popular, MPA(Manchester Pale Ale) The Governor, Moonraker, Manchester Star Ale and JW Lees Bitter.

The company also owns JW Lees Pubs and Willoughby’s Wine Merchants, employing 1,171 people in total.
