Veterinary Group Invests £250,000 In Third Merseyside Practice
WHITE CROSS VETS has opened its third practice in Merseyside, with a £250,000 investment that has seen it launch a new clinic in St Helens.
The family run veterinary group already operates a highly successful practice in West Derby and last September it opened in Gateacre, which is growing rapidly and has already cared for more than 1,500 pets.
The new practice is located on Millfield Road in St Helens, close to Sainsbury’s Local and will be headed up by Clinic Director Kelly Whitelaw who previously worked at White Cross Vets in Manchester. She will be supported by experienced veterinary nurses Ann-Marie Mayren and Michelle Cresswell. The practice offers a state of the art surgery as well as four consulting rooms and separate recovery areas for cats and dogs.
White Cross Vets was the first veterinary group in the UK to introduce a revolutionary concept that boosts recovery rates by playing bespoke, relaxing music, endorsed by leading animal behaviourists, in recovery wards and this technology will be incorporated into St Helens.
Tim Harrison, Managing Director of White Cross Vets, says: “We have a strong track record in the North West and treat thousands of pets every year across our practices in West Derby, Gateacre and Walkden. St Helens is a busy area with a high population of pets and we believe there’s a gap in the market for a high quality family-run practice that looks after its people and uses all the latest technology to provide a wide range of procedures, from vaccinations and neutering right through to emergency operations and orthopaedic work.
“We have appointed a highly experienced team to launch the practice and its design and layout provides plenty of potential to expand, which will eventually see us grow the team to 15 as the practice develops.”
