Former Cooplands Doncaster-based headquarters sold
Bakery of food manufacture Cooplands’ former head office in Doncaster has been sold for an undisclosed amount in a deal completed by Bilfinger GVA.
Coopland (Doncaster) Ltd, which had a smaller business model to the Scarborough-based chain, went into administration in February 2015 and closed 39 stores across the region.
The site has been acquired by Wiseton Developments, a company headed by local businessman Peter Birch.
The Restructuring and Recovery team at Bilfinger GVA’s Leeds office was appointed on behalf of administrator Deloitte to market the 5.5 acre premises at Wheatley Mills in Doncaster in March.
The majority of the complex, which is currently let to six occupiers, also comprises a partially let 19th century mill and a fully let series of industrial buildings with yard and car parking.

“We are delighted to have secured the sale of Wheatley Mills on behalf of the administrator and wish the new owner every success in taking the property forward as an edge-of-town business park.”
