Law firm Clyde & Co moves part of its office to Manchester Royal Exchange
Trinistar Manchester has announced international law firm Clyde & Co has signed up to The Royal Exchange in Manchester city centre.
Clyde & Co, which has 40 offices worldwide, has expanded its Manchester operation to take 11,022 sq ft.
The headcount for the law firm in Manchester is 322 staff, 57 of which are moving to The Royal Exchange.
The deal comes after Trinistar was granted planning to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of the grade II listed building to create 120,000 sq ft of office space.
Partner and head of the Clyde & Co Manchester office, James Dadge, said: “Our Manchester office has been one of our firm’s greatest success stories.
“It has grown 19% in the last year, with a 22% increase in headcount, positioning us as one of the largest firms in the city.
“To enable us to continue to expand our portfolio of business in Manchester we are delighted to be moving to the beautiful, historic and central premises at The Royal Exchange.”
Executive director at Trinity IM, Richard O’Boyle, said: “To have secured this sizeable deal prior to the commencement of the main refurbishment works demonstrates huge confidence in the scheme.
“Clyde & Co are completing their fit out and will be in occupation by June.”
