Middlesbrough's Life Aid Training secures major manufacturing and engineering contract wins
Middlesbrough-based Life Aid Training is set for record growth this year after securing work with two of the region’s major manufacturing and engineering companies, Wilton Group and MACAW Engineering.
The first aid training provider, originally established in 2012 provides first aid training courses to hundreds of learners every year. It currently employs 15 free-lance training providers in almost every region across the country and two staff members at their head office in Middlesbrough.
The company has already carried out two rounds of training for Wilton Engineering this year with further plans in place for future courses. The training was a convincing success with half of the group gaining a 90%+ perfect CPR rate.
Life Aid Training teaches CPR alongside the use of specialist technology to measure how well the learner performs, providing learners with real life saving skills and the self-confidence required to save a life.
Bob Campbell, Founder and Managing Director of Life Aid Training, said: “Working with such prominent companies means a great deal to the business. It represents recognition of our hard work and the high standards that are being achieved through our enhanced teaching methods that some of the region’s biggest companies are selecting us as their First Aid training partner.
“The learners at the Wilton Group excelled in everything from choking manoeuvres to the management of scenes and I’m confident that they would be calm and very efficient in any emergency. I’ve received fantastic feedback from both The Wilton group and MACAW Engineering which I am delighted with”.
The company’s turnover is expected to significantly increase as a result of the additional relationships that will develop from the new clients; it also has plans to take on two new members of staff in the upcoming months.
Moreover, the company has also recently launched its new website which allows companies to view availability and book first aid courses as well as purchase defibrillators online.
Bill Scott, CEO of Wilton Engineering Group, said: “Providing members of our team with high end first aid training is extremely important to us – it’s imperative that we feel confident that in an emergency situation we have a strong and able group of First Aiders in the team.
“Life Aid Training provides a whole new standard of first aid training, with some extremely effective and innovative training methods which has provided us with some impressive results”.
Life Aid Training provides standard and specialist first aid and defibrillator courses for a wide range of companies throughout the North East and other regions.
