JD Wetherspoon’s plans for its largest venue in Britain will face public consultation next week.

Standing derelict since 2008, The Royal Victoria Pavilion, in Harbour Parade, is need of ‘extensive renovation work’ according to the Thanet Gazette.
Wetherspoon, which is known for transforming historic buildings into pubs, plans to invest in excess of £1.5m to restore the property back to its former glory.
A public consultation, conducted by Signet Planning, will be held at the Royal Temple Yacht Club in Ramsgate, on Friday June 19 between noon and 6pm.
In March, the budget pub operator reported a 4.1% pre-tax profit increase despite stiff competition from supermarkets.
