Bonjour! Victoria Quarter welcomes French fashion brand Sandro
Sandro, the luxury French fashion retailer, is set to open its first store in Yorkshire at Victoria Quarter in Leeds.
Hammerson has secured a deal which will see Sandro, the aspirational Parisian brand, take up a 564 sq ft store located on County Arcade in the Grade II* listed Victorian building.
After garnering a global following, Sandro now has more than 452 stories worldwide, with 24 across the UK. The retailer’s presence at Victoria Quarter, one of the country’s most-renowned shopping locations, will play an important part of Sandro’s future expansion.
The new store is set to open later this year.
Launched in 1984 by designer duo Didier and Evelyne Chétrite, Sandro has established itself as the go-to-label for Parisian poise. Sandro’s clothes collection is the epitome of French chic, focusing on style, elegance and timeless pieces and is therefore well placed to benefit from being in Victoria Quarter, which already has an impressive line-up of luxury retail and lifestyle brands.
Kate Orwin, assistant director of retail asset management at Hammerson, said: “Sandro is the perfect addition to Victoria Quarter for our fashion-focused customers and complements both our existing retailers and our new brands, Cutler & Gross and Séraphine. Sandro’s new store contributes to the growth of our luxury shopping mix, thereby continuing to offer more to our Victoria Quarter shoppers.”
Raphael Rab at Sandro, added: “The opening of Sandro in Victoria Quarter marks the first installation of our iconic French fashion brand in the historic shopping gallery that is Victoria Quarter.”
