EMIS Group’s Patient wins big at digital awards
A free, innovative health app developed by Leeds-based EMIS Group that enables patients to book GP appointments online, view their own medical record and create a Personal Health Record, has scooped three national awards in this year’s elite Marketing on Mobile Awards (MOMAs).
The Group’s Patient (www.Patient.info) won the top award in two categories, Mobile/Tablet Customer Facing App and Public Sector Mobile Strategy/Campaign with its Patient Access app. It then scooped the overall winners’ award, the Grand Prix, at the MOMAs award ceremony in London.
The MOMAs judges said: “The winning entry was brilliantly articulated, they’d clearly thought about the execution too. The disclosure on the value of money and man hours saved was award winning in itself.”
On Patient’s Grand Prix award, they added: “The winning app is simple and it’s a time-saving tool that’s convenient. It’s genuinely one of the best award entries we have ever had the opportunity to judge. It was an absolute pleasure to judge.”
Chris Spencer, CEO of EMIS Group, the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services, said: “I was extremely proud to see EMIS Group’s Patient team sweep the board at the MOMA awards.
“Our Patient Access service has led the UK tech market for over 10 years in enabling NHS patients to self-manage their healthcare online, from appointment booking and prescription ordering to securely viewing their own health record.
“The introduction of the Patient Access app together with the recent launch of EMIS Group’s personal health record in partnership with Apple has meant we continue to stay ahead of the game. This award is richly deserved by everyone at the Group who has contributed to Patient’s success.”
