David Wilson Homes recognised in national awards scheme

Five star housebuilder David Wilson Homes has picked up an award for its Riverdown Park development in Salisbury – for being a considerate constructor.

Site manager Craig Leverton was presented with a Bronze Award and judges said David Wilson Homes has shown the highest levels of consideration through following the scheme’s five-point Code of Considerate Practice.

The scheme is a national initiative funded by the industry to improve its image. Sites such as Riverdown Park register with the scheme which is designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

Judges taken into account a range of factors such as site appearance, respect to the community, protection of the environment, safety and workforce.

Mike Petter, chairman of the Considerate Constructors scheme said it was a privilege to reward the efforts of those involved in projects which set the bar in terms of considerate construction.

“We never fail to be impressed each year by the high levels of innovation and excellence evidenced throughout the industry,’’ he said.

David Wilson Homes managing director Paul Crispin said he was delighted the development had been recognised in the awards.

“We always work hard to ensure high levels of quality in every aspect of our new homes from the design, build quality and on site so we are pleased to have our efforts rewarded.’’

Other David Wilson developments such as The Racecourse in Newbury and Locksbridge Park in Andover have also been presented with a considerate constructor award.
