Enfield warehouse development to provide jobs for local people
Earlier this week, Cllr Alan Sitkin, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Business Development, the development of a 93,000 sq ft warehouse being constructed in the centre of Mollison Avenue, Enfield.
Being developed by industrial warehouse developer IDI Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), the warehouse is set to create several permanent jobs for local people and offer a number of training opportunities.
The warehouse, which is due to complete at the end of June, will be available for occupation immediately and is suitable for an array uses - most notably industrial storage, and will have spaces for 90 cars and 23 HGVs when completed, plus office space.
Cllr Alan Sitkin, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for economic development, said: “This development right in the heart of Enfield’s industrial estates serves as an excellent example of how we can all work together to bring jobs and prosperity to Enfield.
“When operational, this warehouse will not only bring in a large commercial company to Enfield, but will also be in a position to offer jobs to local people, during the building phase and above all once the units are filled.”
Joe Garwood, development manager at IDI Gazeley, added: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Enfield Council to construct this brand new warehouse facility off Mollison Avenue.
“Demand for high specification warehousing in Enfield is currently very high and we look forward to attracting an occupier shortly.”
