Homebuilder's appeal nets bumper funds for local charity
David Wilson Homes recently celebrated completing its year-long fundraising efforts in aid of the Oxford-based charity SSNAP.
Staff at David Wilson Homes raised a total of £11,266 in aid of the dedicated charity for sick and newborn babies based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. They undertook a raft of money making endeavours throughout the year, including dress down days, cake sales, slimathons, raffles and an auction of promises in a bid to raise the much-needed funds.
The money raised will go towards providing life-saving medical equipment and help fund the charity’s two family support workers.
Linda Carpenter from the David Wilson Homes Social Committee said, “A member of staff suggested that we support SSNAP as he had witnessed the fantastic work they do first hand. We had a great deal of fun raising the money for such a worthwhile charity and we are delighted we surpassed our target of £10,000.”
The charity’s manager Julie Da Silva Moore said “We are extremely grateful for all of the support and fundraising that has been carried out by David Wilson Homes over the past 12 months. Without the dedication of staff, family and friends in local organisations such as this we could not continue our valuable work.”
