Newcastle Letting Agency Crowned Best in North East

Lettings and property management agency Walton Robinson won ‘North East Letting Agent of The Year’ at the North East Student Housing Awards on 4th June.

Newcastle’s Civic Centre was host to the top student housing experts of the region at the inaugural North East Student Housing Awards where student accommodation providers, letting agents and property managers from across the North East joined together to celebrate their achievements in the industry.

Walton Robinson were nominated in several categories and proudly came home with four awards; Newcastle Letting Agent of the Year, North East Letting Agent of the Year, North East Letting Negotiator of the Year and a lifetime achievement award for managing director Mark Walton. The team were also finalists in the North East Property Manager of the Year category.

Ran Ho of Walton Robinson won the hotly contested North East Letting Negotiator of the Year Award which was presented by Valerie Bannister, President of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents). Ran commented; “Accepting this award means a lot to me. Two years ago, I knew nothing about this industry but now I am totally enjoying my job and very proud of my career! This job gives me the opportunity to use and develop all my personal skill. I am very proud that I can help build up better communications and relationships with both student tenants and landlords from Chinese backgrounds in this industry.”

Mark Walton, founder of Walton Robinson and winner of a Lifetime Achievement award commented, “The Walton Robinson team is always progressing and this is the key to our success, we will never stop trying to be better”.

Walton Robinson, based on Percy Street in Newcastle city centre, was established in 2001 and are experts in student and professional lettings, property and facilities management, residential sales and buy to let investments in Newcastle, the North East and beyond.
