Deliveroo will supply customers with their favourite restaurants' dishes throughout Leeds.

Deliveroo signs up with Leeds & Headingley restaurants

Deliveroo, a brand new online delivery service, has been launched in Leeds and Headingley and is working with city’s many restaurants to deliver food to the customers’ living room, office or any other location.

The online service will deliver food from one of Leeds’ many popular restaurants via Deliveroo’s scooter network, within an average time of 32 minutes.

Deliveroo services customers with restaurants within a 2.2km distance radius and currently operate in Headingley and the city centre.

Originated in London, the online service has already signed up a wide variety of restaurants throughout the region, including Red’s True Barbecue, Gaucho, MEATliquor, Carluccio, Chino Latino, My Thai, The Olive Tree and many more.

Deliveroo’s aim is to bring customers meals from high-quality restaurants with a speedy delivery service, instead of the most common, unhealthy, take-away dishes.

Harry Tyndall, Deliveroo’s market launch manager, said: “Deliveroo are incredibly excited about launching in Leeds and changing the Yorkshire eating habits. After being here at university a few years ago, the food market has boomed and the wide variety of cuisines and restaurants is only destined to make for an exciting city to work in.”

Solos from Giorgio’s Ristorante Italiano, Headingley, added: “Our food can now be experienced in your office and your own home thanks to Deliveroo! They have already proven to be a great commercial partner to ourselves. Drivers are always on time, customers are always happy and we are generating more orders - so we are happy too!”
