Asset Management Software Passes Inspection with iomart
A software business in the north west of England has chosen Melbourne, a division of cloud company iomart (AIM: IOM), to provide secure web hosting and backup to support its rapid growth.
Southport-based The Inspection Manager has created an application called TIM that allows users to carry out surveys, site inspections, audits and asset management reports using smart phones or tablets. The Inspection Manager has customers across the construction, civil engineering, property, utilities and logistic sectors. It has just won a large contract in the facilities management sector with the National Design Consultancy for its TIM software to be used for health & safety inspections of over 2000 sites for one of their large UK clients.
As many as 5000 reports are submitted from the TIM app every month. The data is converted into a pdf via The Inspection Manager website and the client downloads it from there. All the documents are backed up to fully encrypted and secure cloud based servers within Melbourne’s data centre in Manchester.
Paul Miller, Director of The Inspection Manager, says, “We are growing fast as a mobile reporting solution because our customers are experiencing the cost and time savings to be made by using the TIM app. As we win bigger contracts it is hugely important that our clients’ data is stored securely, so knowing that all the documents and images are backed up to fully encrypted and secure cloud-based servers with Melbourne gives them peace of mind.”
Matt Gardiner, Sales & Service Director for Melbourne, adds, “The Inspection Manager’s solution is designed to facilitate the collection, processing and storage of large amounts of data in a manner that allows the business to scale up as they grow. Security is key therefore data is continuously backed up and encrypted to prevent data loss.”
Melbourne is part of award-winning cloud company iomart which offers business and organisations the ability to operate their online data and IT environments safely and securely through a centrally managed, controlled and completely agnostic set of hybrid, private and public cloud platforms.
