Clinics will continue at threatened Beverley surgery

Despite recent reports that the Beverley and Molescroft Doctors surgery on Lockwood Road, Beverley, will be forced to close next week, Wadsworth Osteopaths want to reassure its patients that clinics there will continue.

Robert Wadsworth, Senior Osteopath at Wadsworth Osteopaths, said:

“Many local patients have been alarmed by these reports. It is true that NHS funding reduction decisions have threatened the imminent closure and this would certainly have been a tragedy because Dr Clayton and Dr Williams are extremely well thought of by their patients and among the best in the area. Happily, it now looks like there may be a solution and GP services will continue at Lockwood Road.

“From our point of view, the Wadsworth Osteopaths team has worked at Lockwood Road for over 10 years and we are keen to reassure our patients that we will continue to hold surgery sessions there whatever happens to the GP side of the practice.”

Wadsworth Osteopaths, which provides services in osteopathy, acupuncture, counselling and physical therapy, is the largest osteopathic practice in Hull and East Yorkshire with clinics in Beverley, Cottingham, Hull, Driffield and Hedon. They have been treating and helping to prevent a wide variety of problems in patients of all ages for 30 years.
