Wetherby’s Swivel Secure increases global growth
Swivel Secure, a globally known firm in multi-factor authentication, has announced significant and continued growth in FY2014/15.
The company, based in Wetherby, has seen a 25% increase in revenues over the past year and this growth is expected to be maintained going into the next 12 months.
Swivel Secure hopes to achieve this via the appointment of a new Worldwide Sales and Marketing Director, together with a series of significant product developments planned for the coming months.
The company, which has offices in the UK, across Europe and the Americas, has thrived by anticipating market demand for flexible authentication that can secure remote access to business networks, virtual desktops and cloud-based applications.
Swivel Secure’s solution continues to evolve to fit the requirements of a changing enterprise landscape, optimising the end-user experience with a range of static and dynamic risk-based capabilities.
Chris Russell, CTO, Swivel Secure, said: “Cybercrime continues to intensify; the cost of a data breach has risen by 23% since 2013 and is expected to increase even further. Enterprises are recognising that they need tried and tested ways of securing access to their networks.
“At the same time, businesses are modernising their IT to meet the needs of a tech savvy workforce that is easily frustrated by the additional steps that authentication requires. In response, we’ve created an adaptive solution which, by applying risk-based factors to any given scenario, delivers the best of both worlds. It ensures the user’s authentication experience is as convenient as possible without compromising the level of security provided.”
Whilst experiencing growth within the company, its leadership team has been strengthened with the appointment of its first Worldwide Sales and Marketing Director, Alex Ball.
Alex joins Swivel Secure with over 18 years’ technology experience, including top-level roles at Avecto, Veeam Software and Microsoft. With a proven track record of growing sales for successful organisations, Alex is responsible for increasing awareness and driving adoption of the Swivel multi-factor authentication platform across the globe.
Commenting on the appointment, Alex said: “It’s a great time to join Swivel Secure. The company has enjoyed remarkable growth over the past few years, which has gone hand-in-hand with its aggressive expansion into new markets. Its solution remains cutting edge and I am already working with the Swivel Secure teams in all major regions to drive sales of the solution and take the company forward in a positive direction.”
Chris added: “Alex will be key to our further growth. His role will see him engaging our teams and channel partners around the globe to promote the solution across a variety of different industries and markets. His wealth of experience makes him an extremely valuable addition to the company.”
