Exchange Quay adds to string of 2015 lettings

The Exchange Quay business park in Salford Quays is set to welcome independent financial adviser Chase De Vere.

The firm, which has offices across the UK and is a member of the Swiss Life Group, has managed to secure a 15,000 sq ft suite at the site in a 10-year lease.

This latest development is part of 40,000 sq ft of lettings that have been secured by both new and existing companies at Exchange Quay since the beginning of 2015.

In June, business software provider Sage committed to a refurbished 28,000 sq ft suite on a lease of 10 years. Furthermore, employment solution provider North West Employers, marketing specialist K2L, Wurth Electronics, Boxchange Associates, international consultancy RPS and GlaxoSmithkline Research & Development Ltd (GSK) have all signed new leases.

Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers (Hunter), which is in charge of the Exchange Quay site, currently has a £10m programme underway to refurbish the six office buildings jof Exchange Quay. This includes remodelling of the public realm and the introduction of new facilities for the occupants, all of which is set to be completed in the next few months.

Hunter’s fund manager, Andrew Moffat, said: “The fact that Exchange Quay is attracting occupiers from well-established neighbouring locations and from out of Manchester City Centre is extremely positive, as is the number of existing occupiers who have shown their commitment to our new-look development.

“Our vision is gradually being realised and we are delighted that this is translating into increased occupancy levels.”

The Exchange Quay development has its own stop on the Metrolink tram network and is located near Trafford Road, which offers links to the centre of Manchester and the motorways of the North West.
