Felixstowe Commercial Manager awarded prestigious international trade qualification
A Felixstowe based Commercial Manager is celebrating after scooping a top prize at the Institute of Export’s (IOE) recent graduation ceremony.
Jennifer Butler from Cory Brothers, a specialist logistics and maritime service provider, was awarded ‘The Croner - a Wolters Kluwer business prize’ for outstanding achievements in the Institute’s Foundation Degree course.
She joined leading figures from the world of international trade for a lavish awards ceremony and reception held at the Lord Mayor of London’s residence, Mansion House, London.
Commented Jennifer: “Shipping and logistics is a huge industry with many complexities and significant consequences if inadequate knowledge is applied, which is why I thought the Foundation Degree would be perfect for me.”
“The knowledge provided on the course was invaluable, as was the unexpected lesson in the importance of time management!”
Lesley Batchelor OBE, director general of the Institute of Export, said: “Congratulations to Jennifer and to all of the graduates. The year-on-year increase that we continue to see in our enrolment figures clearly demonstrates that businesses understand and agree with the need for embedded professionalism in international trade and recognise that our globally acknowledged qualifications equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to work effectively in this sector.”
