North West set to welcome indoor trampoline park
One of the UK’s biggest trampoline and leisure parks will soon be opening in Widnes following a £2 million investment.
Velocity Trampoline Park, located on Bennetts Lane near Widnes waterfront will officially open on Monday, July 20, which is World Jump Day.
Spanning across 27,000 sq ft, the unique ‘fun fitness’ venture will create over 40 jobs and will be home to 150 trampolines, together with three individual party rooms and an in-house restaurant.
Managing Director of Velocity Leisure Steven Cosgrove said: “Following our history in the leisure industry, we’ve spend the past few years wanting to expand our offering and create something new and exciting that caters for young children right through to adulthood.
“We toyed with a variety of ideas until we began to notice a growing trend for the indoor trampoline park craze across America and Dubai - straight away we knew it would be a great addition to the North West’s ever expanding list of fun and interesting things to do.
“After an extensive search across Merseyside for the perfect venue we finally found our home here in Widnes. Ahead of our opening, we have witnessed such high demand, as already we have taken an incredible number of bookings.“
Husband and wife team Steven and Cheryl Cosgrove, from Calderstones, have three children and also manage successful venture Funtown Liverpool, a children’s soft play centre located in Garston.
Steven added: “We’re expecting a broad range of customers, there’s really something for everyone at our trampoline parks no matter of age or ability. We will be catering to children’s parties, exercise classes and even corporate team building events.
“Weekly activities, including a dodge ball league, will be set up for children, teenagers and adults to take part in. Velocity Leisure is set to provide a very varied experience – we even plan to host Club Nights for the older children and Toddler Time for parents and babies.“
