Ellesmere Port engineering firm targets overseas expansion with international partnerships
Thyson Technology, an analytical systems engineering company, has joined forces with several overseas supply chain partners to capitalise on its recent growth and develop new relationships around the world.
Teaming up with partners in Germany, the USA, Brazil, China, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia and India, the Ellesmere Port firm hopes to see its international customer base grow and continue with the expansion it has experienced since 2013.
Mike Braddock, the managing director of Thyson Technology, said: “The markets we serve are all international in nature, and as a result we have worked extensively overseas in recent years, although much of this work has been secured working with partners based in the UK.
“This move is about getting closer to customers on the ground in our key growth territories by having a more permanent presence in those parts of the world, and the partners we have chosen all have excellent reputations and strong portfolios of contacts in their regions.
Mike added: “The past two years have been a period of strong growth in terms of turnover and headcount, and we have already invested heavily in our technical capabilities to capitalise on that growth. The next logical step is to ensure we are making our services available to our target customers, wherever on the globe they may be based.”
Thyson Technology creates process analyser systems for organisations in the oil and gas, manufacturing and power generation industries. Some of its UK-based customers include engineering firm Emerson and the National Grid.
Following a series of contract wins, both in the UK and overseas, Thyson Technology managed to increase its turnover to more than £10m in 2014/2015. In the current financial year, the company is targeting revenues of £12.5m.
