Stockton-On-Tees Independent Apple repair consultants have received a business boost fromformer Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis on social media.

Bryan Homes, Managing Director of iStation, tweeted Theo about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.

Theo re-tweeted Bryan’s message to his 480,000 followers and as a result, the business has received over 100 mentions, retweets and followers in addition to being profiled on a new website (www.theopaphitissbs.com), which is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Bryan said: “We have been in business for 18 months, it’s great to have recognition from this well known entrepreneur, and it’s a massive boost for the business.”

“Since the retweet we have received so many messages and phone calls, there’s a real buzz from it and we’re delighted our continued hard work is recognised by others in the sector.”

iStation were recently granted ‘Apple Consultants Network’ status, featuring a community of professional service providers and consultants that specialise in Apple and third-party solutions. Members are vetted by Apple and are certified professionals, fluent in multi-platform solutions and deliver on-site technology services and support.

Every week, Theo Paphitis, a retail magnate and British entrepreneur, runs ‘Small Business Sunday’. Between 5pm and 7.30pm every Sunday, small businesses are tasked with tweeting the ex-Dragon, describing their business in one tweet in an attempt to grab his attention.

Paphitis then reviews the hundreds of tweets he receives and chooses his favourite lucky six who are then re-tweeted on the Monday at 8pm. With more than 400,000 followers, a retweet from this well respected businessman is an asset to any chosen company.
