Sevendale House in Manchester nears full occupancy with new tenant
Another tenancy agreement signed at Sevendale House in Manchester’s Northern Quarter has brought the building close to full occupancy, with Code Computerlove taking the whole fourth floor.
The digital agency will be moving its 84 members of staff from its current base in the city’s Jutland House to its new 13,100 sq ft of space in Sevendale House, which was renovated last September. The revamp included a full refurbishment of the building’s reception area and five upper office floors.
The Grade II listed building comprises 120,000 sq ft, including 65,000 sq ft of Grade A office space along with 15,000 sq ft of retail space.
Wini Tse, a founder of Code Computerlove, said: “Our move to Sevendale House is the result of continued growth and strong financial performance, with staff numbers now at 84 and increasing.
“For the past couple of years we’ve had teams spread across two offices in Manchester, but the new space allows us to all be under one roof again.
Wini added: “While we also opened a second office in London last year, which is similarly expanding with new team members, we’re continuing to invest in, and grow, our Manchester base that’s been home since our conception in 1999.”
Code Computerlove’s deal with the managers of Sevendale House follows on from two other firms, PPS Limited and Working Time Solutions, recently taking five-year leases in the property, leaving just 3,200 sq ft on the fifth floor and 5,800 sq ft on the first floor available.
The digital agency, whose client portfolio includes Chester Zoo, First TransPennine Express, Amnesty International and NUS, will be joining tenants such as Ticketmaster, Foundation Coffee and tech firm Couchbase.
Mark Davies, the director of property management firm Philip J Davies Holdings, which is responsible for Sevendale House, said: “Since launching nine months ago, we have let 86% of our office space. The high quality of the refurbishment, which retained the building’s original character where possible, along with its location in the heart of the Northern Quarter, is proving to be the ideal combination for a lot of businesses, and we anticipate achieving full occupancy in the coming months.”
