North East Entrepreneurs’ Forum reveals new board member

Successful businesswoman Fiona Raglan has been appointed as the latest board member of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the research analyst expert has many thriving business brands to her name.

Newcastle-based research analyst and serial entrepreneur Fiona Raglan has been appointed to the North East entrepreneurs Forum.

Fiona is the co-founder and director of Dipsticks Research Ltd, a company she launched alongside John Raglan in 1997. Dipsticks is a market research agency that specialises in media and marketing communications research.

Mrs Raglan spotted a gap in the market for a new research agency during her time at advertising agency Robson Brown.

Fiona’s portfolio of successful client-facing brands include a public sector research agency, Public Knowledge, and an online research community, Panelbase, comprising over 220,000 UK adults who have registered to engage in market research projects.

Throughout her extensive career Fiona has received many business accolades, such as The Best Rural Woman Entrepreneur Award and The National Business Award for Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003.

She said: “The Entrepreneurs’ Forum is a pivotal North East organisation that has not only inspired me to go that extra mile, but a platform that has enabled me to discuss the wider business ‘ups and downs’ with other entrepreneurial individuals.”

The Entrepreneurs’ Forum, based in the North East, seeks to inspire entrepreneurs of the region to grow their businesses and create sustainable new jobs. Founded in 2002, Fiona is one of the 10 business leaders to make up the Forum’s board.

Gillian Marshall, chief executive of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, said: “It is fantastic to see Fiona Raglan become a board member; her experience within the North East business industry is invaluable. She is passionate about economic growth across the region making her a perfect addition to the board.”
