Manchester-based software provider achieves international growth

Kalibrate Technologies plc, a provider of software and services for the international petroleum retail industry based in Manchester, has achieved growth across its core regions and expansion in several new markets.

For the year ending June 30 2015, Kalibrate said its market reputation in core areas like Europe and North America remained strong, with the firm obtaining perpetual license wins with a new European fuel retailer and two in North America in Q4.

Further, Kalibrate managed to expand its planning services, securing new clients in Bulgaria, Bosnia, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Chile, Kenya, Ireland, Serbia and Romania.

The CEO of Kalibrate, Bob Stein, said: “We are pleased to have delivered to the expectations set of us for this year. The past 12 months have seen us make rapid progress in our plans to secure business on new, more visible, more long-term SaaS (software as a service) relationships.

“It is a change that we have committed to make for Kalibrate’s long-term financial strength and our clients appear to have a strong appetite for it too. 2016 will see us continue to make this transition, allowing us to create a Group that can deliver higher recurring revenues, even stronger client relationships and enhanced margins for the long term.”

In its latest trading statement, Kalibrate said the main drivers of growth in the new markets were the deregulation of pricing for fuel, increased fuel retail industry competitiveness and additional business from Kalibrate’s existing client base.

During the 12-month period, Kalibrate also said that transitioning its clients from their current license deals to software-as-a-service agreements has progressed much more quickly than was originally forecast.

Now, Kalibrate hopes to report the results of the year ending June 30 in September, with its board predicting that revenues and EBITDA will be consistent with market expectations.
