New Manchester-based safe deposit facility accepting clients
Safe Deposit Centre, the new facility based on Great Ancoats Street in Manchester, is now accepting its first clients.
Approximately £1.5m was invested into the facility to get it fully operational, creating six new jobs in the process.
The centre houses more than 5,500 safe deposit boxes in a purpose-built structure and is the North West’s only Grade 10 security vault, which is the standard approved by the Metropolitan Police.
The manager of the facility, Holly Hulston, said the announcement follows months of preparatory work. She commented: “So many high street banks have withdrawn their safe deposit service that there’s a growing need for what we provide.
“With 100 years’ experience in the security industry, our company has left no stone unturned to provide a top-notch facility. Visitors have been extremely impressed by the technology we use.”
Holly added: “The security of our clients and their belongings is our prime concern so we also provide free on-site car park right next to the building.”
The Safe Deposit Centre, which is based in Victoria House, is now considering other sites across the North West to develop a network of vault facilities.
