Newcastle's Metnor collaborates with Atlas Cloud to drive business improvement

Newcastle-based construction group Metnor has partnered up with cloud solutions provider Atlas Cloud, to drive business improvement through outsourced IT operations.

Atlas, which has UK wide bases including Newcastle, will deliver a fully-managed customised cloud platform, which will enable Metnor staff to access any project information from any device, anywhere in the world.

Metnor is the latest in construction names to join Atlas, which specialises in providing email, applications and data platforms for the construction sector. The company has been working with contractors, architects and the sector’s membership organisations to develop technology to meet the demands and challenges faced by the sector.

In addition to enabling Metnor staff to take advantage of remote working opportunities, Atlas Cloud’s support also allows the company’s offices in Newcastle and Maidenhead to access data from a Common Data Environment, which simplifies file sharing and enables the use of tools and technologies associated with Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Atlas Cloud is the BIM enablement platform, and has revolutionised the way Metnor Group communicates and collaborates as a business and with clients and contractors, with the company being one of the first in construction to outsource its ICT operations to the cloud.
