Knutsford Crown Court to be sold by Bilfinger GVA Manchester

Commercial property firm Bilfinger GVA Manchester has been appointed to sell the Sessions House building in Knutsford.

Built nearly 200 years ago by architect George Moneypenny, the Grade II listed Sessions House serves as Knutsford Crown Court. Bilfinger GVA is acting on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and is the building’s sole agent.

David Thwaites, an associate with Bilfinger GVA, commented: “The Sessions House offers a unique opportunity to own and become the guardian of an historical building within the heart of Knutsford Town Centre.

“In view of the buildings undoubted character and history coupled with its prominent location we are anticipating a high level of demand for a wide range of alternate uses.”

The company is now seeking interest from potential buyers for a variety of uses.

Sessions House is a three-story property from the Georgian era comprising sandstone blocks and columns. Inside, it has wood-panelled walls and high, decorated ceilings.

Situated by Toft Road in Knutsford’s town centre, the building offers 18,500 sq ft of space on 0.82 acres of land, while a 25-space carpark fronts the building.
