ENER-G flies the flag for British manufacturing
Salford-based green energy group ENER-G is flying the flag for British manufacturing as a member of the Made in Britain campaign.
ENER-G’s combined heat and power (CHP) and biogas generation systems - made in Salford, Greater Manchester - proudly display the official Made in Britain marque.
The non-profit Made in Britain organisation promotes and supports manufacturing in the UK. It is run by a committee of UK-based manufacturers as well as leaders of other groups that support British trade and industry. Central to the campaign is the Made in Britain marque, which companies can apply to use to highlight the provenance of their UK-made products.
The idea for a logo to identify products made in Britain was conceived by cooker manufacturer Stoves - following research showing that the British public was confused about what products were made in the UK. Stoves launched a competition among students at British universities to design a Made in Britain logo.
Clare Burns, Marketing Manager for ENER-G Combined Power Ltd, said: “ENER-G is proud to be a British manufacturer. We have been producing CHP systems in Salford for more than 30 years and the quality of our technology is respected across the globe. Our research and development, design, engineering and manufacturing operations are all co-located, which means we have the in-house resources and expertise to continuously innovate and create market leading products.”
