£25m Middlesbrough casino plans finally abandoned
Middlesbrough Mayor Dave Budd has revealed that plans have ended to bring a £25m casino development to the area.
300 jobs were reported to be created by the project, although three years of little progress have eventually drawn plans to a halt.
Jomast Developments, a property development company based in Stockton, had planned to begin building work last year, after initially receiving planning approval as far back as 2012.
However, Jomast are set to undertake a new leisure project, which will see parts of Jesmond redeveloped.
