FW Capital marks two years in Tees Valley with new partnership

Fund management company FW Capital, which manages the Tees Valley Catalyst Fund, has partnered with Billingham RUFC to mark two years of residency at its Tees Valley base.

FW Capital opened its Billingham office in 2013 to manage the Tees Valley Catalyst Fund for Tees Valley Unlimited. A UK first, the Fund helps businesses based in the Tees Valley and throughout the North East to go for and win larger contracts by providing short-term finance.

Since winning the contract, FW Capital has invested £8.4 million, helping to win new business and create jobs locally.

Now, FW is sponsoring the club’s upcoming friendly against local rivals Guisborough as part of its annual family fun day. The game will raise money for the local Daisy Chain and Count The Kicks charities as well as to boost the club’s own funds.

FW Capital Investment Executive, Chris Johnson said: “We’ve been impressed by the ambition of the businesses we’ve backed in the Tees Valley and many of them have strong links with their communities.

“Billingham RUFC is a huge asset to the local community and we are delighted to be part of its annual fun day. It should be a great day out and a good-hearted friendly raising plenty of money for the club and two fantastic local causes - Daisy Chain and Count The Kicks.”
