Manchester printer teams up with Nisa in £5m tech investment

A print marketing firm based in Manchester has teamed up with retail group Nisa to launch a new print service following £5m of investment.

Printing company G&H, which is located just outside the city centre near Old Trafford, is now offering a full-colour service for the UK’s 2,500 Nisa stores, allowing individual retailers to customise their print marketing efforts.

The MD of G&H, Dave Hatton, said: “This is a landmark development in retail promotion and we are grateful to Nisa for their commitment and enthusiasm.

“The ability to deliver full-colour personalisation lends itself to a huge number of applications in the retail, marketing and service sectors. Combined with fast turnaround times, I believe it will reignite the use of print as a personal communications vehicle for marketing.”

Due to its 24-hour turnaround times, it is believed the new offering could boost business for Nisa. A recent study from the Direct Marketing Association found that participating stores experienced a 12% rise in profits and 20% footfall increase due to a more personalised and targeted approach in their marketing.

Nisa’s marketing director, Ian Bishop, said: “We trialled the system with retailers for a number of months to ensure that this industry first provides an instant impact for our members, and we’re delighted with the results.

“This service enables retailers to fully personalise every aspect of their store marketing, delivering flexibility to them and creating the potential for greater customer engagement.”

Over 5m print items could be produced for Nisa every month with the new technology, which allows retailers to customise their marketing materials via a web-based tool.
