The Alchemist to open second Leeds city centre cocktail bar

Leeds’ thriving leisure scene is set for another boost as The Alchemist Bars and Restaurants Ltd. has announced the launch of its newest cocktail bar and dining destination with The Alchemist Greek Street.

A cocktail bar which celebrates molecular mixology, alchemy and craftsmanship, Greek Street follows the success of the Leeds Trinity Alchemist bar, open since 2013.

Bringing the adventurous and unconventional to Greek Street, preparations are already underway for the new bar’s official opening in October.

Bartenders are enhancing the bar’s extensive list of cocktails, including the renowned Smokey Old Fashioned and the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, plus many more.

A full food menu will include dishes such as the prawn lollipops, sticky beef salad and the special fried chicken in a basket.

Simon Potts, managing director of The Alchemist, said: “Greek Street holds special memories for many people in Leeds, including myself but it’s an area that has been quiet for a number of years. We are excited to be bringing our brand of mixology to this quarter of the city centre, and in a location perfect for business meetings during the day and discerning drinkers during the evening.”
