Bury-based dental lab under new management
A recent management buyout (MBO) has seen Filippini & Gray, the private dental laboratory based in Lancashire, undergo a change in ownership.
The laboratory, which is located in Bury, will continue to operate with the same name under the leadership of new owners Marco Filippini and Wayne Jenkins.
Commenting on the change in ownership, Ian said: “We are proud to passing the business on to a new management team which includes a family link in Marco Filippini.
“They have the skill, knowledge and acumen to continue driving the business forward and we have every confidence they will not only maintain what has gone before but will take the business to the next level.”
North West corporate finance firm MC Vanguard advised the founders of the company, Vano Filippini and Ian Gray, throughout the MBO process.
Speaking further, Ian added: “We were provided with terrific support by the MC Vanguard team in Manchester. We are very grateful for their expertise which helped conclude the deal swiftly and efficiently.”
The new management team at the laboratory, which specialises in crowns, bridges, implant restorations and veneers, is looking forward to developing the business through new technology, according to Marco Filippini.
He said: “It’s an exciting time to be taking the reins at Filippini & Gray, and we are ambitious to build on Vano and Ian’s first-class work.
“They have created a brand synonymous with consistent, high-quality products. We now use leading implant systems including Nobel Biocare, Straumann and Astra routinely in our lab.”
Marco continued: “Our aim and vision is to maintain this reputation and develop the business with the support of our team of registered technicians.”
