The Highwayman hits the market for £395k
CBRE’s specialist market team in Leeds has brought The Highwayman public house in the historic village of Sheriff Hutton in York to market.
CBRE are currently seeking offers for The Highwayman within the region of £395k.
Located in the centre of Sheriff Hutton, a village that can trace its history back to the Domesday book, The Highwayman is a quintessential village pub.
Originally called the Packhorse Inn, The Highwayman dates from the early 1800’s and was originally a small brew house in the village.
The venue comprises 3 working open fires, 2 snugs either side of the bar, a restaurant, a public bar and a games room. A car park and a large grass beer garden are located at the rear.
Sheriff Hutton is located 13 miles north of the City of York. The village has a population of approximately 1,000 people and the Highwayman is located in the centre of the village holding a prominent position for passing traffic.
Sam Frankland, director of Specialist Markets at CBRE Leeds, said: “We are delighted to bring the historic Highwayman pub to market. Given the history surrounding Sheriff Hutton and its popularity with walkers and cyclists, combined with vibrant village life, we believe the Highwayman offers significant potential for an aspiring pub operator.”
