Yorkshire Payments sign major three-year Irish acquirer deal
Yorkshire Payments, the region’s only independent card payments provider, has secured a three-year partnership deal with AIB Merchant Services (AIBMS) and will be the Irish Acquirer’s only independently licensed payment provider in Yorkshire.
This significant AIBMS deal enhances the Yorkshire Payments’ proposition, allowing the company to provide further first class products, service and support.
As part of the partnership, Yorkshire Payments’ customers will also be able to take advantage of AIBMS’ extensive range of products & services.
AIBMS undertakes a substantial assessment process with all potential partners. The contract with Yorkshire Payments was awarded on the strength of its customer service levels and unique ‘local proposition’.
AIBMS paid particular attention to Yorkshire Payments’ excellent customer retention rate of 97%.
AIBMS recently won the ‘Best Merchant Acquiring Customer Initiative’ at The Card and Payment Awards 2015.
James Howard, managing director at Yorkshire Payments, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing AIBMS, one of Irelands’ largest payment processors, to the region, and to have secured another high profile contract in such a short space of time is testament to the hard work of our growing team. AIBMS is a leading merchant services provider which, from personal experience, is selective in its partner programmes.
“Our aim is to provide real, honest and excellent service to Yorkshire businesses and believe that our partnership with AIBMS in customer service will help us to achieve this.”
Lara Byrne, head of channel development at AIBMS, added: “We are delighted to have partnered with Yorkshire Payments and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship offering a bespoke service and product proposition to businesses in Yorkshire. This deal recognises our unique partner programme, which incorporates deep payments industry expertise and our on-going commitment to service excellence.”
