Bike & Go expands with new station facility

Bike & Go, the national bike hire scheme, has revealed that the train station in Bidston, near Birkenhead, is being added to its portfolio of bicycle hire facilities.

The announcement, made just ahead of the scheme’s second anniversary, will see Bidston railway station become the 19th hub for Bike & Go within the Merseyrail network.

Demand for the new facility is expected to be high due to the proximity of Bidston Moss Nature Reserve, which is located next to the station, and National Cycle Route 56, which runs nearby and links Chester with Liverpool.

The scheme’s director, Kaj Mook, commented: “We’re delighted to be adding Bidston to our expanding collection of stations offering Bike & Go, providing users with a means of reaching their final destination as well as the chance to see more of the area by bike.”

Earlier in July, Bike & Go announced the launch of a web-based subscription scheme that allows users to register online for a unique user number.
