Leeds-based home tech specialist branches into York
Finite Solutions, a home technology installation specialist, has expanded its network with a new presence in York.
This showcases the increase in demand for new home technology across North Yorkshire, as well as a boost in confidence in the recovering residential property market.
Installation expert and advisor, Adam Dent has joined from a competitor to develop business opportunities for Finite. He already has an established reputation and network of contacts and expects to contribute significant growth to the business.
Established in Leeds over ten years ago, Finite Solutions now operates nationally with offices also in Manchester and London.
This year it reported a 40% increase in turnover to £2.7m and expects to increase this to £3.5m in the current financial year. The business has also set a target of £4.5m for 2016/17.
Simon Mathieson, director at Finite Solutions, said: “North Yorkshire is an affluent area for residential property and the market recovery indicates more active movement in property sales and investment. In particular smart home technology is becoming a must have in high value properties and we are well placed to deliver a one stop solution for often very complex installations. We have achieved a real coup in getting Adam on board and are progressing plans to open a second state of the art show house this year so that clients can experience technology before making their investment.”
In the past several years, Finite Solutions has experienced an increase in clients choosing to invest in future proofing their properties to retain value. The company continues to secure major contracts to install security, audio visual, home cinema and lighting and, in many cases, to deliver all elements for whole house integration.
In North Yorkshire, Finite recently secured a £400k installation in Knaresborough, and a £350k installation in York.
The UK residential custom home installation sector is now estimated to be worth around £1.07bn according to CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association). Audio visual projects still account for nearly 50% of all installations in the UK with home cinemas/media rooms taking a 21% slice and lighting control/design the second most popular at 12%
