Aldi have begun their recruiment drive for their new store in Harrogate as building work starts this month.
The store, which is set to open on Harrogate Retail Park in early 2016, is looking to finalise its team between now and November.
Aldi is seeking to recruit 31 additional staff in total, including a Store Manager, two Assistant Store Managers, five Deputy Store Managers, 18 Store Assistants and five Stock Assistants.
Steve Barnett, Regional Managing Director at Aldi, comments: “Our new Harrogate store will offer greater shopping choice for consumers in the area and we’re keen to recruit staff from within the local community for all of our store positions.
“We’re looking to attract applicants from a range of backgrounds and sectors including supermarket, fast-food and clothing chains, who can demonstrate relevant experience in retail, and the skills required to succeed in a fast-paced environment.”
The Harrogate store is one of a number of new stores which Aldi is planning to open across North Yorkshire in the coming months, which include Wetherby and Ripon.
Building work is set to start for the store this month after being granted planning permission by Harrogate Borough Council more than a year ago.
