Web design agency gives charity opportunity to ROAR

Cheshire charity Reach Out And Recover (ROAR) is raising its profile after big-hearted Warrington web design agency Dreamscape volunteered to create a new online presence for the rehabilitation organisation.

Set up as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company in May 2014, ROAR provides a safe, secure and stable environment for people to start to tackle their addictions and personal issues.

Based in Macclesfield, ROAR is a 9-bedroom recovery project in which service users receive 24-hr support and are given hope and a place where they can start to believe in themselves. ROAR also provides a series of structured activities and workshops to build confidence and help service users to turn away from addiction and crime.

Dreamscape was teamed up ROAR through charity Cheshire Connect, which matches the skills and expertise of local businesses with the voluntary and community sector.

The web design company built a new, user friendly website for ROAR and will provide hosting and ongoing support. Dreamscape also designed a new brand and logo for ROAR.

ROAR’s Vicky Millward said: “We aim for people to see the person, not the addict, as there is a lot of stigma and ignorance around the issue of addiction. At ROAR we believe there is much more to recovery than just putting your substance down. It is a package, which involves addressing deep rooted issues often from some form of childhood trauma, changing your behaviours and thinking styles in order to progress with confidence onto learning new skills and re-joining the community as a positive member.

Thanks to the generosity of businesses like Dreamscape we can continue to help people suffering from addiction.“

Bernard McCabe, Managing Director of Dreamscape, added: “The decision to help ROAR was about putting something back into the community. Giving them a new logo and website will hopefully allow them to raise their profile so they can continue to help people suffering from addiction.”

Louise Cornes, a Business Connector working for Cheshire Connect, added: “I’m delighted Dreamscape have so generously offered their support to ROAR to help them publicise the valuable work they do in the local community and to reach out to more people with the services and support they offer.”
