North West building merchant expands with latest acquisition
Beesley & Fildes, the North West building company, has acquired a Manchester-based supplies firm with seven-figure funding from NatWest.
In a bid to expand its portfolio in the region, Beesley & Fildes, which operates in Liverpool, Birkenhead and Prescot, bought Radcliffe Building Supplies and plans to refurbish its shop, create jobs and introduce new product lines.
Beesley & Fildes’ MD, Lee Davies, said: “The acquisition of Radcliffe Building Supplies will enhance our network specifically in the Greater Manchester region while also allowing for us to better deliver for our customers across the North West. It’s an exciting development for the company.”
NatWest’s director of structured finance, James Burgess, worked with Ian McGee, the bank’s relationship director, to offer Beesley & Fildes a business loan.
James added: “The funding has allowed for Beesley & Fildes to continue forward with its business aspirations. The management team have a clear vision for the company and are committed to ensuring the business’ long-term success.”
Established almost 200 years ago, Beesley & Fildes is family owned and operates eight depots across the North West.
Lee continued: “We have a good working relationship with Ian, James and the team at NatWest.”
