Liverpool business village completes another deal

Liverpool-based developer, Prospect GB, has completed another lettings deal at Meridian Business Village in Hunts Cross, South Liverpool, with the arrival of Technical Building Solutions Ltd.

Formed in November 2012 and previously based in Bootle, the building services supplier and developer has signed a three-year lease on a two-floor unit comprising 1,382 square feet. Technical Building Solutions has relocated to the popular business park off Woodend Avenue to accommodate a rapid growth based on the provision of external wall insulation and heating installations for the residential sector. A high percentage of its business has been secured with homeowners encouraged to make energy-saving improvements to their properties via eco funding from the government’s Green Deal policy.

Managing director Paul Hill said: “The Green Deal home improvement fund was introduced in 2014 and, although we are very active in other sectors such as education, housing and leisure, it has been a key driver in the company’s success – we achieved a turnover of £1.5 million in the last financial year, compared to £470,000 in our first year of trading. Technical Building Solutions now have a growing supply chain network of companies and we have become approved contractors for larger utility companies such as Eon. Staff at our head office has doubled from four to eight, with a management team which has experience in building projects valued as high as £25 million, and Meridian Business Village will be an ideal base for our continued growth with an excellent strategic location within minutes of the M57, M58, M62 and M6.”

Head of Prospect GB’s commercial division, Chris Walker, said: “Meridian Business Village has attracted a number of dynamic new companies which, like Technical Building Solutions, have moved from their original base after prolific growth in their first few years of trading. We still have a limited number of units available, offering business space in sizes ranging from 1,382 square feet up to 9,467 square feet.”
