Catherine gets sparkle experience
Newcastle-based digital communications agency, Sparkle, has welcomed Catherine Senior to complete a two-month internship over the summer.
Catherine, who is a law student at University of Birmingham, also works part time as a marketing assistant for the Guild of Students and is supporting Sparkle’s marketing and growth using social media.
She said: “I am studying law at university but my passion is firmly with social media and marketing. As well as running my own blog I work part time as a marketing assistant for the Guild of Students and also volunteer with the Sunshine Fund.”
Catherine will be heading up the social media activities for Sparkle Communications and its online networking group #SparkConnect for the next couple of months.
Director, Nicola Little, said: “We were very impressed with Catherine when she approached us to suggest she complete an internship with us. Her drive, attitude and ideas are fantastic and we are thoroughly enjoying having her with us.”
Catherine approached Sparkle Communications after engaging with Nicola on Twitter and suggested that she undertook a work placement.
Catherine said: “I am always looking for ways to strengthen my marketing experience. This placement is letting me be creative – it’s the first time I’ve been able to use my own ideas which I love.
“I don’t want internship to end but I hope to return to Sparkle and the North East of England after I graduate next year.”
