Leeds bar operator opens new Bierkeller with £2.2m investment
Yorkshire bar operator, Burning Night Group, has just opened the doors to a new Bierkeller Entertainment Complex in Cardiff as the group continues to expand its portfolio.
The Leeds-based leisure group, which opened its first site in the city nearly five years ago, has two other locations in the north; Liverpool and Manchester.
The group invested £2.2m in the 24,000sq foot complex in Cardiff.
Similar to the group’s successful other sites, the Cardiff complex has three bars, with a licensed capacity of 1,000 people: The Bierkeller, an original Bavarian-style bar, Shooters Sports Bar & Grill, and Around the World Bar, which offers the chance to sample beers from around the world.
Peter Robinson, operations director at the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex, said: “We’re really excited to be expanding our bars into other cities across the UK, but we’re still very much a Yorkshire group, proud of our roots.
“We’ve opened in other locations across the UK, but none have been quite as extensive as Cardiff. The Cardiff complex has been in the pipeline for some two years now, and although it has been a long time coming, it’s great to finally see the venue open.”
