NatWest funding provides LGI Automotive with showroom success
LGI Automotive, the motorbike retailer, has opened a new Honda motorbike showroom with NatWest support.
The Sheffield-based firm, which specializes in the sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts and accessories, operates out of two retail outlets – one in Sheffield, which contains the new showroom, and one in Chesterfield.
Established in 2012 as a Piaggio/Vespa dealership, LGI Automotive has expanded to sell a range of bikes including Hondas, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia.
A total of 10 people work at LGI Automotive and new jobs were created following the opening of the showroom earlier this year.
Matthew Gilder, the company director, said: “The new showroom has been a great success in its first few months. We have had record highs in sales on two occasions, with overall sales exceeding £1m since the beginning of 2015.”
Matthew obtained funding for the new showroom with them assistance of NatWest relationship manager Jon Plumtree. Jon acquired a six-figure Commercial Mortgage to support the showroom opening and also worked with the bank’s asset finance partner Lombard, who provided funding for new kit.
Matthew said: “Jon has been very good to work with and we know we can turn to him for advice to grow the business further.”
Jon added: “I was delighted to support LGI Automotive on its purchase of a new showroom. The business continues to thrive and I wish the business every success for the future.”
